Methodology

The thirteen participants, study site, and methodology were carefully considered when the study was proposed and ultimately approved by Eastern Washington University’s IRB. This study adheres to the ethical and professional standards for the protection of human subjects of research that are formulated in the Belmont Report and the Nuremberg Code. During the informed consent process, the three elements of information, comprehension, and voluntariness were met and approved. The IRB also determined that the study does not pose any danger and the nature of the study poses minimal risk. What is to follow is information regarding the methodology I utilized to collect data, including the test goals and objectives set, the participant recruitment procedure and requirements to participate, the scenario and test tasks utilized during the usability test, and the framework used for the collection and evaluation of data.
