What is the SRS?

Who and How and What: Undergraduate and graduate students — collaboratively or individually — voluntarily submit: An Extended Abstract and an Oral Presentation OR An Extended Abstract and a Poster Presentation (limited to 40 posters) Of research or design projects.

Your extended abstract and presentation must be written for the multi-disciplinary technical audience of the Tech community and guests.

And Why: The Student Research Symposium is an opportunity for you to: Showcase your knowledge and skills by giving a presentation or displaying a poster to student and professional researchers and engineers; Communicate your research or design to people outside your field.

And When: Friday, April 5, 2013!

What is the SRS?

A symposium is a conference of peers and related professionals to discuss particular and shared subjects of interest.

Who and How and What: New Mexico Tech students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels have the privilege of voluntarily submitting either: An Extended Abstract and an Oral Presentation OR An Extended Abstract and a Poster Presentation (this will be limited to 40 posters) Of research or design projects.

The audience is made up of a wide variety of esteemed professionals. The professionals come from a variety of different technical backgrounds. It is our honor to host professionals from New Mexico Tech and from many other successful backgrounds. Because of this, we kindly request that your abstract and presentation be written in a way that would appeal to everyone in the audience.

And Why: The Student Research Symposium is an opportunity for you to: Showcase the knowledge and skills you have gained. The symposium offers the opportunity to display or present your research with dignity to respected researchers and engineers. Communicate your research or design to researchers and professionals from other fields of study.

And When: The symposium will be on Friday, April 5, 2013. We hope you will show us the honor by being a part of the SRS.
