About the Author

Sherwin Kawahakui Ranchez Sales is a PhD candidate in English Rhetoric and Composition at Washington State University. He teaches first-year composition and various Asian Pacific American literature courses at WSU, and he also serves as a writing consultant for the university’s Graduate Writing Center. Prior to WSU, he has taught composition at California State University, Long Beach where he also earned his BA and MA in English. His research interests include Asian American and Pacific Islander Studies, Composition Studies, Cultural Rhetorics, Translingualism, and Writing Center Theory.
